Investment Policy Statement (IPS)

Failure to Utilize An Investment Policy Statement (IPS)

Do you present yourself as an investment expert? Do you have any formal training or hold any FINRA or other governing body licenses or certifications that would substantiate that you’re an investment expert? Could you document that a specific mutual fund, CIT or other investment in your retirement plan was selected using a prudent process?

This is not an area where you can simply ask your provider or advisor for an investment policy statement and simply check the box. Your IPS is the cornerstone of fulfilling your fiduciary responsibility regarding investments.

Through our relationship with RPAG we provide an ongoing and timely benchmarking process which employs both quantitative and qualitative metrics., called the B3 Provider Analysisä system. Ultimately, the final report documents whether your plans current fees, services and investment are competitive with the marketplace helping plan fiduciaries meet their responsibilities a set forth by ERISA.

Aegis Retirement Group and LPL Financial are not affiliated with RPAG.
